Table setting and styling.

My table is set for the holiday season! Is yours ready? What theme or colors did you use this year? I LOVE to see the different tables! I’ve never used a plum color before and that was the start of my planning... from there, my vision went with the center looking like an entire dried floral arrangement. I wanted it to feel like we were eating in a fall forest under candlelight.

@hobbylobby and @etsy made finding my desired stems easy! I went with a brown pampas, silver leaf eucalyptus, and then a plum eucalyptus.

For the plate decor, we cut thin disks off a cedar branch from our land and waxed them. Then I made little floral bouquets with floral wire and twine from HL!

The plum napkins, candles, and candlesticks were purchased on Amazon for very reasonable prices! Check out my stories for links for items you may want!

I hope you have an incredible day of gratitude tomorrow, friends. I am thankful for each of you following along here and allowing us to share our creativity and lives with you!

Dining light.

We have gotten so many messages and comments about our lighting in this room! So let me explain: We are huge believers in “go big with lighting!” Lighting MAKES a room! So we wanted a statement piece to accentuate the arched window and length of this large rectangular room. We found these large @hudsonvalleylighting pendant chandeliers and KNEW these were them! We bought 4 of them (they are marketed to be hung singularly.) David then made a wooden ceiling medallion to group them together visually. We hung them in a line - accentuating the length of the room. Because we had extra chain left over from raising them, we took that chain and strung the pendants together, making the last two connect at lower points than the center. This gives the illusion of an arch to match the window! You honestly could do this with any pendant chandelier to create drama and a “wow factor.” For us though, the classic + modern + elegant feel of these pendants was exactly what we were looking for!!
