About us.

Our first date in 2009 was to a flea market. It was then our design journey together began! For over 13 years, we have been designing, renovating, upcycling, thrifting, and decorating spaces together.

In 2020, we decided to share what we do on social media and were quickly met with worldwide interest in our style and techniques. With clients all over the world, we wanted to offer an easily accessible online course library to teach others how to design their own spaces, as well as offer a place of design community!

Once enrolled in either the monthly or yearly option, you’ll have full access to our David and Tara Design Collective Facebook Group, and full online course library including access to courses we later on add.

The Collective connects you with aspiring design enthusiasts in a variety of skill-level, ready to share thoughts, collaborate, answer questions, and even connect! The Collective is all about learning in a connected way with others . Have a question? Ask it! Have an answer? Weigh in! Start or finish a project? Share! We also love to see posts of our members' day-to-day triumphs and creations, which in the design and reno world can range from the smallest creation to the biggest win!

Upon enrollment, you gain full access to the David and Tara Collective Course Library, including all worksheets! Our first course, driven by demand, is Achieve Our Style. We will be adding new courses — two of which are in the works: Learn Design Basics and DIY Blueprints— often. If ever we have a request for something in particular we think we can teach, we will create a course on it!

Join Us Every First Tuesday.

Join David and I in the DTD Collective on Facebook every first Tuesday of the month at 11am CST for our monthly lives. We will start by sharing our current design thoughts: it could be teaching something, sharing our thoughts on a certain practice, sharing never before seen behind-the-scenes. We will also open the floor for LIVE Q&A on the spot. These meet ups give us a chance to connect in real time on real topics and develop greater skills and knowledge together. Can’t make that time? All of the lives are saved to the Collective group so you can go back and watch whenever you’d like.
