Shared bathroom.

Oh bathroom renovations... aren’t they fun?! Lol! But this one turned out so pretty! And we did a lot of drywall work in here! 🤪

We removed the entry door and made it an open archway, arched the window, plastered all walls, added new trim, regrouted the flooring to freshen the color as the existing tile was in great shape and high quality. Then we added accent tiles, painted, replaced toilets and shower doors! Finally, with some self-made stone countertops and an upcycled chest of drawers... the bathroom connecting to Charlotte’s room plus shower section is COMPLETE!

These two bathrooms connect our soon-to-be nursery as well as Charlotte’s room (revealed yesterday), so we needed it to “go with” both of those rooms. So we choose a pretty green accent with rich wood tones + modern lighting to offset some traditional choices.

This was one of those areas that we thought would be an easy reno but it turned into a bit more work than we thought 🤪

However, I’ll pat us on the back! We have maintained our total budget for under $1200 and will hit that mark even redoing the last part of the bathroom: the bigger vanity side! For tips on our to repurpose your reno + save, watch our highlights on instagram @davidandtaradesign

Charlotte’s room reveal.

She’s obsessed with purple so we had a lesson in compromise and found the perfect purple for her and our home! She loves her big girl room! We started out fairly rough when we bought the house. But with some beams, new lighting, fresh floors and some updated items we were able to transform this room! Had we started all in one day, this could have EASILY been a “one day makeover”

Charlotte’s Room Mood Board! She’s obsessed with purple and loves our horses, so this is what we came up with. Excited to bring this room to life!

Shared space.

Need your help! I have had plans for nearly 2 months to wallpaper our youngest girls shared bedroom ceiling. I thought I picked out the perfect wallpaper but once I got the sample in which took a while to get here, it was so subtle you couldn’t see it on the ceiling. So now I’ve just been sitting on this project for nearly 3 weeks. Should I wallpaper? Paint? Spam me with links to wallpapers you think would look good!
